We ate at most of the restaurants in this little town and this was definitely our favorite. Eat here and you will not be disappointed.
Nothing to rave about, but the portions were large, the prices were low and the food was pretty decent. Had a few atypical things on the menu (like grilled eel, which isn't all that common, at least based on my experiences), but they only serve them sometimes depending on the season. Maybe you'll luck out and get to try something a bit out of the ordinary.
This is one of the cheaper restaurants in Phonsavan. The food is average to good and prices are good. The service is average. Go to the bus station and find the small crowded food stall that sells fried rice and 4 types of fried noodles (all plates 5,000K!) - cooked fresh and very good.
Three of us had lunch here recently. The service was friendly and the food was very good. Everything was fresh. If I were in the area, I would eat here again. The restaurant is easy to miss - just a small spot with a sign on the main road, but it's worth a visit.
