We had a fixed-menu pre-arranged as we were celebrating a friend's b'day, and I must say it was very complete. I would highly recommend doing this if hosting a group. I picked the Salmon which came with a side of amazing pasta. I will come back.

Was in the district for other business and ran into Portobello without any expectation. Decor was simple with a hint of an European taste. The restaurant keepers are a couple of Italian gentlemen. Very inviting. Menu was simple; usual Italian fare. Had some house chianti, which was quite drinkable, and actually pleasant. Order a few 'tapas'. $6 or 7 per item, not bad at all. Ha...
