As my last night in Sydney, I craved for Japanese and my friend took me here for dinner. It's a small cozy spot with a few tables and a sushi train in the back which is a nice touch. Beside the lovely array of fresh seafood I mostly come back for their monthly specials, a combination of Japanese and asian fusion.
Left disappointed after we were expecting sushi and everything we ordered wasn't sushi but was baskets of deep fried fish and chicken instead. The taste of the dishes did not meet up to our expectations or what we were looking for. Positive: friendly service.
We had to spit our food into napkins... How embarrassing, my boyfriend and I have never done this at a restaurant! The chicken karage had too many soft bones present. The wagyu beef nigiri was stone cold, ridiculously chewy and overpriced; there's $8 gone to waste sitting in a napkin. The highlight of the meal was our beverages: Asahi and green tea.
