This restaurant proved a pleasant surprise. We were going to the movies in the pinewood shopping centre and wanted a nice lunch. There are five of us from Gippsland who meet for dinner before the MSO Monash Series concerts. This was our first visit to Shaven's and we will definitely be returning. The dining room was beautifully set out and quiet. The food was wonderful. The service was impeccable and the price was reasonable. And it's less than 10 minutes from Monash.

Despite knowing the Indian restaurant penchant for relatively expensive curries and having to pay extra for essential accompaniments such as rice or bread, we decided to give this one a try.
