The burgers are serious. They take a while, but well worth the wait. Truly great bar service too: he'll ask if you need a refill as you take your last sip. Good atmosphere too.
Part2 of the story: Bobby is the current owner of the bar, son of one of the original Irish brothers .. say hi to Amon the bartender he is awesome
One of the original six Irish owners made great fireplaces. Did you know that he made this fireplace in Park Tavern as well as the one in the bar now known as McGinley Square Pub?
Amon the bartender tells the story - in 1972 six Irish brothers bought the entire building for $35000. Spot has been a bar since the 40s. Two brothers went on to become path conductors and two ran it
Another fan of the cheeseburgers, they're delicious, hefty and made to order...yum!
Solid burger, reasonable prices, good music, classic bar atmosphere (brick, wood, etc.). What more do you need?
