Nothing fancy about Flippers. Decor is dated, however restaurant is clean. The food is delicious, with meals prepared fresh. First and foremost, our table of six received fantastic service. (Thanks Mary!) For apps we ordered the pan fried calamari and a plate of tzatziki with pita bread. Flipper's is totally old school. If you were a kid in the 70's or 80's and your family ate out this was the kind of place you went. Lobster traps and 70's music. Fish and Chips are the best. Nicest waitress in all of Toronto, Wonderful place to take your Mother she will love it.
My friend recommended this place so we tried. We ordered pork Souvlaki and fried calamari but we find it too tough to chew. The salad at the bar did not taste fresh at all. Servers are very warm and pleasant.
