Don't be put off by the look of the restaurant. It's not the prettiest place you'll ever eat but the food is good and the owner is a hard working decent guy. The place has been there for decades and the locals know that the ribs are delicious. It's a nostalgic spot for us so we dine in but lots of people get the food to take out.

This place doesn't look like much but the owner is a really nice guy ( which wouldn't count for much if he couldn't cook but he can!!) everything is really reasonable and very good quality. If you're on the east side of Toronto and want some ribs for take out, get them from The Rib House. We ordered a half rack of ribs with included side and an order of chow mein. Both were delicious. After the first bite and the last, I regretted not getting a full rack. Forget fancy smoked meat, grandiose or elegent cooking techniques. Just order the ribs if you want a great bar...
