It's a bit out of the way, but this cosy little restaurant is a real gem. The place used to be one of Lisbon's most respected grocery stores and the original interior gives the place a great atmosphere. The menu lists a limited selection of Portuguese tapa and they serve good local wines. It's a very small place, so make sure to book a table in advance!

Other excellent place for tasting local meals. We got a tip from local guide for good place to go. They have only Portuguese menu, but the waiter was helpful and perfect English speaker. We chose five meals for four person at it was enough. Everyone was full and happy, but we finished with two local deserts. All meals were delicious, tasty and at affordable price
