A visit to Mt Annan Botanical Gardens mid week is highly recommended - gardens close to the restaurant, around the lakes, and along the circuit road (Big Ideas, Wattle and Banskia gardens) are a real treat, topped off by both an enjoyable morning tea and lunch in the Melaleuca cafe. Nice cafe for morning tea. The scones and cakes are yummy. We have had the bacon and egg on a damper roll which was quite tasty. The coffee is very weak all times we have been here, not good at all. Lovely to sit outside. Prices for mains are quite expensive. The gardens are worth visiting, and the cafe is a great spot to stop and have a morning for afternoon tea but not coffee...
The space is clean and neat, the wait not too long (even on a public holiday) but for the love for all that is fair and reasonable in the world - $20 for a few bits of pumpkin, goats cheese and salad leaves in a standard takeaway container, and $8.80 for a cream-filled piece of cake is just plain mean.
