Nice and creative food

Are frequent visitors to Ripe, their Lindt hot chocolates are sublime, however, most recent visit is the first time in 15 years that I've been disappointed. Service was very slow & haphazard and food was undercooked, with another dish cold. Luckily we'd enjoyed our hot chocolates in the wait for the food, almost made up for food. A lovely setting with a nice menu. Pleasant service and the children enjoyed toasted sandwhiches and cakes but were disappointed with no milkshakes. Hot chocolates were a salvation. One of our cakes was quite badly burnt on the bottom and we couldn't eat it. We let staff know when we went to pay but still paid full price. A bit disappointing. Probably would not go back.
