I've been going to this place for years. The coffee is great, the food - whether it be their award winning pies, their beautifully prepared sweets, or their great selection of local jams and chutneys - and the service is bubbly and efficient. Is it any wonder that the Yarra Glen Bake House is a mecca for locals, tourists, and passers by!

Friendly service, great coffee, yummy cakes and hot food. I am a local and this bakery knows me because I go regularly always for a coffee and fresh white bread- delicious. I order special occasion cakes from them. Sponge cake Feb'16, Choc Mud cake x 2 NovDec '15 and a Berry Almond tart is on order for this Mother's Day. Yum. We stop here when we are around this way because this is a no fuss place. We want to fill our bellies and carry on with our journey. A good option based on time and price as compared to the other places around here. The sandwiches we bought we not cheap. $6.60 for a sandwich or bun. The chicken sangers was quite soggy. Not great. Ordinary. The beef and pickle sangers was better...

Meat pies and cakes are best around
