Late dinner, ubered it to Albert Kinney and after a bit of a walk trip advisor delivered us here. Quaint place, hipster cowboy meets yee-haw , staff in denim and plaid, very welcoming. Food? Located in Venice Beach. A quaint restaurant with a great service staff. The bar mixologist was superb. Started with homemade biscuits. Disappointed that the bacon jam was $2 extra and was only a teaspoonful. Had chicken and waffles. Chicken needed more crunch and waffles needed a more creamy texture. The shrimp and grits were better but not top knotch.
My lady friend was all fired up to go there, so I was expecting quite a bit. They missed the mark. The deviled eggs were lackluster and the fried chicken wasn't much better. It did not look like much from the outside, but once you get in you find out it actually used to be a house. The driveway is made into a patio like area. the living room is the main dining room.
