We came here for dinner, and were really satisfied with everything. We wanted something typically German after all that sushi, curry , pasta and other foreign cuisine we have eaten here. We tried this restaurant after a friends' recommendation. And...no disappointment. If you're looking for solid German style food - try this one. Great value. Great service. Great quality. Not over the top but not too casual either. Reservation during weekends suggested.

We recently had lunch at the Alter stadtwächter. we had to wait more than 20 minutes before someone had dime to take our orders. The goose took 45 minutes to prepare - which shows this is real food, and not from the micro wave. The steak, ordered medium rare, came all grey. But the food was good and the atmosphere fine.
