good food but crowded and can not(almost impossible) to understand why people like SO MUCH about this restaurant; kinda.

We stopped into Earl's for a happy hour drink and appy but unfortunately it was past the 5:00 deadline. We decided to sit at the great big bar area where we enjoyed a glass of wine and some yam fries while watching the frenzy of activity of the Yaletown scene on a Friday evening. It is a very popular place, so popular that it is difficult (nearly impossible) to have a place without reservation. It is noisy...food is good but not great. We tried it but won't return.
