I stayed at Hotel Vondel, so this restaurant was very convenient to me. I tried their breakfast and dinner menu and enjoyed a coffee with a selection of their sweet treats as well. Excellent breakfast selection. Meal included in cost of room so that is about a $20 value. Buffet style but we did see people ordering stuff. Nicely done soft-boiled eggs.

Would say good rather than average - nice surroundings & lovely terrace for pre-dinner drinks and post-meal coffees, with blankets provided in case it got a bit chilly. Food absolutely fine, but nothing special. Service friendly, if somewhat haphazard (but we all got our food in the end!). Very apologetic & free coffees.

We had an odd experience here. Arriving at 5.15 we were too early for dinner - which starts at 6. BUt not to worry, they were still serving lunch! The menu for lunch and the one for dinner are both varied enough to include the non-carnivores. The smoked mackerel was excellent, as were the cheese croquettes. The price was high but this is a higher end restaurant, so worth it.
