Small restaurant, sits probably only about twenty. Good Indian food... falafel, gyros...quite a large selection, nothing fancy, but yum yum... In University District with I think outside seating on warmer days.
Try the light, flaky spanikopita, which comes with their artfully garlicky hummus! Vegetarian plate was also delicious. They have awesome hot sauce, like a chutney, and garlic paste. V friendly hosts!
the falafel with the hot sauce was amazing! Not to dry and not swamped in tahini...it was perfection...
I only have one tip: do not eat here. The beef in the sharwama plate was extremely chewy. But the worst part of the meal was the lemonade that tasted like dish washing liquid.
the falafel & hummus sandwich is delicious, of course, but try the fool mudammas sandwich if you're in the mood for something lighter. fava beans + olive oil + spices = fantastic.
