But much to my disappointment I could have passed. The atmosphere was pleasant, but the food wasn't very spectacular , go if u have to , just don't expect to be floored .

I've seen this place on many TV shows and don't get why they say it's so great. There's only one type of meaty chili & that's the spicy type. It was too spicy for me. So I got one pork hot dog & one beef hot dog. The pork was good but not mind blowing. I didn't care for the beef dog. It also wasn't that inexpensive. I'd pass on this & find a great "mom & pop" hot dog stand.

We stopped here for lunch mostly due to its widespread reputation. Service was v. slow and we ended up paying $32 for two chili dogs, one side of cole slaw, and 2 fountain drinks. I would rate the chili as average, at best. The atmosphere during our visit was not that special.
