Lots of concurrent events going on at the same time which was a little chaotic. Overall I thought it was a nice place and enjoyed the event.
A true hidden gem in the core downtown sector. You enter on 14th street NW under the flags. Take the elevators to the 13th floor. We went to dinner with another couple at the National Press Club. Upon arrival to the 13th floor you are greeted by the staff and shown to your table. Enjoy the walk and check out the walls of photos. The staff are excellent and the service is great. We had our meal ordered and served in short order. The food is very good. We took our time examining all the photos after dinner....
A great meal but the experience was a bit surreal. The club restaurant is in what feels like the overflow room at Thanksgiving...you know, the kids table? I've played the Truman Piano--it's no joy to play: the action is bad, it hasn't been tuned in years & the case needs attention. It's really a piece of historical furniture. Nice for the photo memory.
