After visiting Washington DC Zoo, we popped in to the Zoo Bar, opposite the entrance to the Zoo, for a quick drink. We ended up staying for nearly 2 hours and had a snack as well. Pleasant staff and modestly priced food and drinks kept us there for longer than planned.
