We called here on our last day I had the ribs and they were lovely cooked to perfection. Very friendly hosts very reasonbly priced and a great choice of foods. This is not a frilly fancy place it is what it is but very tasty thanks Tads
On a rainy Saturday, I went to a matinee and decided that I was hungry for a steak. I took the subway up to 80th and Broadway to get some things at Zabar's, and then took the bus back to Times Square, where I thought I'd find somewhere to eat. I had forgotten about Tad's. For about $20, you get a steak prepared the way you want it, a baked potato, salad and a beverage. The rest...
This is the way steaks used to be served: fairly thin, good meat, maybe broiled to your requested degree of doneness. No table service, just a tray you push along watching the cook do his thing. This is the only Tad's open in the City. All others are closed. :(
Avoid at all cost ..... For 35$ you get an unseasoned well done steak (when ordered med) and Unseasoned INSTANT mashed potato and a 6$ bud light bottle not worth it at all.... Plenty of other options
My guy couldn't tell the difference between a cowboy and a strip steak. But it was still good.
I'm sure the steak is good, but I come for the $3 baked potatoes. They're nice and big, with thick leathery skins.
GOOD STEAK. Not so bad baked potato. So so on everything else.
