This is the only place I will eat the steamed pork buns in SF. They are great and average about $1. The price can go up $.25 depending who is working behind the counter. I do not know how Chinese inflation works however the buns are so good I don't care to ask.
This modest Chinatown cafe on Stockton Street is one of my favorites for a quick bite. I bought three shrimp rolls and three meat dumplings for $3.50 and found they were too much for me to eat for lunch at one sitting, so I took them home for later. Other dim sum cafes in the neighborhood serve smaller rolls and dumplings.
Great snack stop with pretty big and fresh tasting pork/chicken buns for ¢70
