Just walking around looking for a restaurant and came upon Amata. Our meals and service were both great! Excellent pork chop and delicious pasta. Plus the staff is extremely attentive and nice. Even the wine was great! We will recommend this to NYC friends. If you are looking for a good meal and a quiet restaurant - definitely try it!

The website enticed. The menu intrigued. Sadly, the food disappointed, a case history of lack of attention to detail and timing. I ordered calamari fritti, expecting crisp morsels of baby squid. Go for the Veal alla Enzo. The calamari and burrata also make for great starters.
