Amazing gem away from the main streets this quirky little pub serves up some amazing pub grub, the cheeseburger is to die for not to mention the craft beers and hoard of board games, perfect relaxed evening.
The Simon the Tanner pub is a small establishment which we found to be typical of pubs in the area. It appeared to be mostly locals in the pub and the bartender was very friendly. The choice of brews was extensive plus they also had wine and other things to drink. Great spot for a beer and a bit of local culture.

Called in on a Saturday evening for a drink and a share of the 'cheese board' as we were too full for a meal. We have been here before when visiting from Abingdon. The bar staff were very friendly and the other customers were happy to chat to strangers. A great beer range, as ever. Couldn't wish for better in a pub. Well worth a visit for an evening or a quick drink
