Delightful ambience. Great food and wonderful repartee with chef Yves who was very accomodating late in the evening. Merci beaucoup.

Dined solo mid week for dinner. Just off the main from Gare de Lyon. Ordered some wine which came in a cute small bottle and was given some nibbles to start me while I perused the good sized menu. Although my French is poor, the host made me feel comfortable and not rushed. I ordered a burger. Meat was very tender and it was tasty with a small side salad and twice cooked fries....

Le Bistro Lyonnais was a very pleasant find in Avignon. The food was delicious, the owner chef speaks very good English and the food is authentically French.The bistro is situated in a quiet side street away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed a delicious beef stroganoff, French chocolate tart with pistachio sauce ,glass of wine and coffee for 22 euros each.
