Lovely service from the floor staff, especially a nice Italian girl.. Average coffee.. Manager was very rude, unable to offer enjoyable service and appreciate the staff members.. Very disappointed.

This is a good spot for a lunch, the food is quick and very good - the staff are professional and polite and it is very conveniently located. If you are looking for a good spot to catch up with a friend or business colleague for lunch then I would say this is a good choice!

I met a friend for a catch up at Ambar and really enjoyed the evening. We arrived during happy hour and ordered some very good wines (Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc) for only $5 each which then went up to $8 after happy hour which we thought was quite reasonable. The bar food was very good too. They have a pretty good selection. We ordered the tapas plate which was more than enough...

We wandered around the CBD looking for an inviting place for breakfast....and came across the Ambar Cafe in Martin Place. From the moment we sat down we knew we'd made the right choice.
