This small deli was next to our hotel. We ate lunch there twice. It has very good sandwiches and daily special hot meals. There are tables for about 25-30 people and a friendly proprietor who seats you. As far as we could tell, it was a local lunch crowd of office workers and students. We seemed to be the only tourists.
I arrived about 3 hours early at the area of the church where I was to view the painting of the Last Supper. I'd read online about the Fizz Bar, and I found that it was a very short walk of about a block from the church. It's very popular, because the panino's are great, and very reasonably priced. I studied in Milano for 5 months and found this place. It was by far my favorite place to get a panini in Milano and all of Italy. I have been searching all over new york city to find something similar with a "piadina" bread.
