I checked into the St Josef Hotel, exhausted, after an overnight flight from the US to Europe.. In spite of exhaustion, and the rainy weather, I was determined to get out and see something of Zurich, though I had given myself a quick tour of the city a year before, when I stayed at the same place. When I got back , soggy and even more tired, I decided not to walk the few blocks...

I have stayed at this hotel several times, but had never tried its restaurant other than breakfasts (which are very good) until my latest stay. For lunch, they had a watermelon soup special that was excellent. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I don't tend to go to hotel restaurants, but picked this for convenience for a meeting and it worked out well.
